Laree Payne is pleased to present, for the first time, an exhibition by Tāmaki Makaurau based multi-media artist, Timothy Webby (b.1993). A focused re-presenation of photographic material, Keep the Old Chin Up is an exhibition of pictures taken by the artists paternal grandfather, Gordon Webby, whilst conscripted as a pilot to the RNZAF during WWII. Selected, printed, hand-coloured and presented by Timothy, Keep the Old Chin Up is the physical manifestation of a conversation across more than 80 years of time between two people, two artists, a grandfather and grandson.
